Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Interior Design Expert to join our team at Space Matrix Design Consultants. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality interior design solutions for workspace fitouts.

About the Role
  • This is a full-time position requiring a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in interior design, with a focus on workspace fitouts.
  • You will work closely with clients, concept designers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure the accurate execution of design plans.
  • Your responsibilities will include designing development, project coordination, material and product selection, compliance and standards, and client interaction.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Design Development:
  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives.
  • Develop innovative design solutions that align with client needs, company standards, and industry trends.
  • Create detailed technical drawings, floor plans, elevations, and 3D models using software such as Revit and AutoCAD.
Project Coordination:
  • Work closely with concept designers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure the accurate execution of design plans.
  • Conduct site visits to assess progress and address any design-related issues that arise during construction.
  • Provide technical support and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
Material and Product Selection:
  • Research and recommend suitable materials, furniture, and fixtures that meet design specifications and budget constraints.
  • Prepare detailed specifications and procurement lists for project implementation.
Compliance and Standards:
  • Ensure all designs comply with relevant building codes, safety regulations, and accessibility standards.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and best practices.
Client Interaction:
  • Present design concepts and proposals to clients, incorporating feedback and revisions as necessary.
  • Maintain strong communication and professional relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in interior design, with a focus on workspace fitouts.
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Revit Expertise is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of material specifications, building codes, safety regulations, and accessibility standards.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Creative flair and a passion for innovative design solutions.
Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this role is between $80,000 and $120,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
