The Video/Audio Editor will play a pivotal part in our remote team, crafting engaging short-form educational videos under one minute long. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career editor to work on impactful projects in a collaborative environment with 1-2 years' experience.

The ideal candidate will have basic proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve, understanding of video editing fundamentals, including timeline assembly, audio syncing, and exports. Experience with basic color correction, color matching, and audio mixing is also essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Edit short-form (under one minute) educational videos and audio based on finalized scripts and provided guidelines
  • Assemble video timelines using Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve, incorporating approved footage and assets
  • Apply basic color correction and color matching to maintain consistency between shots
  • Perform basic sound design and audio mixing for voice, effects, and music elements
  • Add simple title design and on-screen text where required
  • Export videos in multiple formats including 16:9 (landscape) and 9:16 (vertical) for different platforms
  • Create multiple cut versions of the same content based on team needs
  • Follow collaborative feedback processes using Frame.io and communicate clearly with teammates

Qualifications:

  • Basic proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve
  • Understanding of video editing fundamentals, including timeline assembly, audio syncing, and exports
  • Experience with basic color correction, color matching, and audio mixing
  • Comfort adding simple titles and on-screen text using built-in tools or templates
  • Ability to export and format videos for multiple aspect ratios (16:9 and 9:16)
  • Familiarity with Frame.io or other collaborative review tools is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow scripts and editing guidelines
  • Clear communicator who works well in a team and takes feedback constructively
