Technical Lead - Backend Systems

We are seeking an experienced technical lead to oversee the design, development, and optimization of scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems.

  • This role is responsible for leading the architecture, design, and development of APIs and services with high performance and security standards.
  • The ideal candidate will build and maintain RESTful APIs and oversee integration with third-party services and internal tools.
  • Additionally, this person will ensure best practices for security, authentication, and data protection, as well as optimize system performance and scalability.
  • The technical lead will manage cloud deployments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), collaborating with product, design, and frontend teams to deliver features.
  • Mentorship and coaching of engineers, conducting code reviews, and defining technical guidelines are also essential responsibilities.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field.
  • Four years of backend development experience, with at least two years in a leadership role.
  • Strong expertise in Python and Django framework.
  • Familiarity with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB.
  • A solid understanding of microservices, APIs, and distributed systems.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud deployment on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
