Job Title: Policy and Advocacy Expert

FICCI is seeking a highly experienced professional to join our team as a Policy and Advocacy Specialist. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in International Business, Economics, MBA, or Public Policy with 8-21 years of experience in policy advocacy, international trade, and international relations.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Stay up-to-date with global developments and identify key areas for focus in economic relationships.
  • Develop strong relationships with Indian companies operating in the region.
  • Communicate effectively with key stakeholders and persuade them to participate in FICCI engagements.
  • Conduct primary and secondary research on the region.
  • Conceptualize events aligned with the interests of Indian businesses.
  • Organize conferences, roundtables, webinars, investor meets, exhibitions, and B2B meetings as required.
  • Maintain and update databases of Indian and foreign missions in the region.
  • Nurture relationships with regional desks at the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) and other government agencies.
  • Collaborate with FICCI MOU Partners and chamber counterparts on joint initiatives.
  • Manage responsibilities related to inbound and outbound delegations.
  • Prepare concept notes, background papers, presentations, and other materials.
  • Raise funding and sponsorships for events.

Required Competencies:Technical Skills:
  • A deep understanding of the policy landscape, investment promotion, international trade, and business priorities of the region.
  • Knowledge of the working of the Government of India, State Governments, Investment Authorities, and key line ministries.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • The ability to create engaging social media content and coordinate with the FICCI social media team.
  • Prompt preparation of post-event reports, executive committee briefs, and inputs for FICCI Magazine.

  • A self-starter with a passion for initiatives in the region.
  • Attention to detail, ability to multitask, and work under pressure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • A team player with a focus on team goals.
Estimated Salary:₹1,200,000 - ₹1,800,000 per annum
