Automation Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Test Automation Professional to design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web, mobile, and API applications.

This role involves executing regression, functional, integration, and performance tests to ensure the quality of our software products.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with automation tools/frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, or similar.

Strong programming/scripting skills in Java, Python, JavaScript, or C# are required.

Familiarity with API testing using Postman, RestAssured, and CI/CD pipelines like Jenkins, GitHub Actions is a plus.

In addition, knowledge of databases (SQL) and cloud platforms is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts
  • Execute regression, functional, integration, and performance tests
  • Identify, log, and track defects; collaborate with developers to resolve issues
  • Collaborate with QA, development, and business teams to ensure test coverage
  • Enhance and optimize automation frameworks for scalability and reusability
  • Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives in Agile environments
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices in testing
  • Generate and share detailed test reports and metrics

  • Technical Skills:
    • Hands-on experience with automation tools/frameworks
    • Strong programming/scripting skills in Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#
    • Familiarity with API testing using Postman, RestAssured
    • Knowledge of databases (SQL)
    • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines like Jenkins, GitHub Actions
