Pastry Chef Job Description

• The Pastry Chef will be responsible for the daily operation and management of the pastry section.
• Liaison with Executive and Sous Chefs to ensure a successful working environment.

Pastries, Baked Goods, and Confections Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and handle baking equipment as needed.
• Create pastries, baked goods, and confections using established recipes.
• Develop new recipes for seasonal menus.
• Decorate pastries and desserts for presentation.
• Maintain customer relationships for custom-made desserts and pastries.
• Manage stock of baking ingredients and supplies.
• Order necessary supplies and equipment for the pastry section.
• Ensure adherence to safety and health regulations in the kitchen.
• Train staff members as needed.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Extensive experience in pastry preparation and presentation.
• Strong communication skills for liaison with Executive and Sous Chefs.
• Familiarity with kitchen safety and health regulations.
• Ability to work independently and manage a team.
