Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled professional with expertise in broadband, telecom, and outside plant industries. Key responsibilities include reviewing customer RFP documents, developing tailored estimate templates, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and staying updated on industry trends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review customer provided Request for Proposals (RFPs) documents to gain comprehensive understanding of project scope, RFP response requirements, project specifications, project schedule, and customer objectives.
  • Develop specialized estimate and bid preparation templates specifically for each RFP project.
  • Utilize expert-level proficiency in Excel to build cost breakdowns, high-level schedules, risk registers, preliminary resource plans, and populate customer bid pricing forms and sheets for RFP submittals.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather necessary project information and ensure accurate estimates.
  • Conduct thorough analysis and research to identify potential cost-saving opportunities and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and clients to present estimates, address inquiries, and provide recommendations as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in estimating within the broadband, telecom, or outside plant industries.
  • Expertise in Excel with ability to develop complex spreadsheets and models.
  • Self-motivated individual with strong passion for the industry and drive for excellence.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to effectively interact with team members and clients.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in commercial and/or industrial low voltage and/or fiber optic cabling project coordination and estimating combined, related, and relevant experience.
  • Able to read and understand blueprints, structural drawings, and plan sets.
  • Able to comply with and enforce risk management policies and safety procedures.
  • Experience preparing budgets for each project.
  • Knowledge of construction materials, processes, trade practices, and equipment.
  • OSHA 10, 30 Certifications preferred.
  • Proficiency in using software suites such as Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent written and communication skills in English.
