Job Opportunity

We seek a seasoned Software Architect to design, develop and maintain back-end systems that support our operations platform. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will ensure the integration of backend services with frontend applications, databases, and other core systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of software developers, providing guidance, mentorship and support to drive team effectiveness and productivity.
  • Contribute to the design and development of scalable, maintainable, and efficient software architecture.
  • Take ownership of the product lifecycle, from conceptualization through development and deployment.
  • Implement Test-Driven Development practices, including writing comprehensive unit tests, to guarantee high-quality, reliable and maintainable code.
  • Develop reusable, modular code and libraries to promote efficiency and consistency across projects.
  • Continuously optimize applications for maximum performance, speed and scalability.
  • Enforce security best practices and ensure compliance with data protection regulations to safeguard sensitive information.
  • Maintain clear technical documentation for all systems and processes related to products owned.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in software development, leadership or management roles, with at least 5 years of experience.
  • Strong foundation in Python, including debugging and performance analysis.
  • Experience developing web applications and APIs (REST, XML) and knowledge of frameworks like Django/Flask.
  • Expertise in secure software development and handling sensitive data.
  • In-depth knowledge of source code repositories and experience working with Git.
  • Hands-on experience in DB design & Architecture with focus on performance.
  • Knowledge of caching techniques and utilities like Memcache/Redis.
  • Experience working with Apache/Nginx/web/app servers.
  • Experience with containerization tools - Docker.
  • Hands-on experience in enterprise-level deployment and scaling.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to solve complex problems and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
