Role Overview

The Senior Active Directory Administrator will be responsible for supporting Active Directory operations and engineering with at least 5 to 12 years of directly related experience. The ideal candidate will resolve and complete assigned cases and change requests, act as an escalation for support issues, and apply new solutions through research and collaboration with the team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and manage enterprise Microsoft Active Directory and Windows file services architecture
  • Configure global system security and policy
  • Provide top-level support for enterprise-wide initiatives
  • Implement new software solutions as required by the business
  • Manage Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS), Active Directory Certificate Services, Azure AD, and Microsoft CA, PKI
  • Configure Group Policy Objects, Windows Servers 2012, 2016, 2019, Active Directory Federation Services, DNS, DHCP, DFS, PowerShell, and Scripting
Technical Requirements
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows Server Administration, Active Directory administration, and Azure AD administration
  • Ability to handle major incidents related to Active Directory and Domain environment
  • Strong understanding of architecting and configuring Microsoft Windows OS technology, including Active Directory Forests, Domains, Trusts, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and Organizational Units
  • Implementation, management, and troubleshooting of the Active Directory Domain Forest
  • Experience with AD Migrations, Transitions, Active Directory Forest Implementation, and AD Inter-Forest Migration using AD Manager, Quest/ADMT tools, AD connect deployments, and AD Upgradation projects
  • Deployment and administration of Azure AD Connect Tool, configuring synchronization rules, and troubleshooting synchronization issues
  • Experience with Shell Scripting and automation using PowerShell
  • Experience with ADFS, DFS, Windows PKI, and working within the Active Directory database for maintenance, recovery, and troubleshooting
  • Monitoring connectivity, synchronization, replication, netlogon, time services, FSMO roles, schema, NTDS database partitions, DNS settings, SRV records, and trust relationships
  • Monitoring and resolving security/vulnerability situations at all levels of the domain to ensure a stable and secure domain server environment
  • Advanced level of administration of Windows server with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and High Availability
  • Implementing, monitoring, and maintaining Active Directory DC design, schema, OU design, Active Directory replication topology, and DC backup/restore procedures
  • Utilizing logical problem-solving to find creative solutions to problems in the environment on a broad scale
  • Assisting in management and support of internal and external DNS systems and internal DHCP architecture and scoping
  • Creating and updating technical documentation of operating procedures as needed
  • Able to work in 24x7 shift environments, mostly on USA shifts
