  • Job Description:
  • Develop and execute an engineering roadmap for our automotive team, working closely with Product Management to refine our vision and strategy.
  • Represent Ubuntu and Canonical in the automotive community, fostering strong relationships with customers, partners, and consortia.
  • Build and lead a globally distributed team of engineers, guiding and overseeing their work to drive quality and delivery excellence.
  • Drive skills development through coaching, feedback, and hands-on technical leadership.
  • Advocate for agile software development practices, promoting collaboration and growth within the engineering culture.

Requirements:

  • A strong software engineering background, with experience in Linux, open source, and embedded systems.
  • Familiarity with automotive and industry standards, such as ISO 21434 and IEC 65108.
  • In-depth knowledge of Linux packages and embedded development, with expertise in C/C++ and Python programming.
  • Practical experience in automotive, including functional safety, cloud, and related software trends.
  • Proven track record of timely delivery, high-quality software, and experience leading, managing, and mentoring software developers.
