Ignition SCADA Specialist

About this role:

We are seeking an experienced Ignition SCADA specialist to lead the design, configuration and deployment of Ignition SCADA and MES applications across manufacturing operations.

  • Develop real-time data acquisition, visualization and reporting solutions that meet business needs.
  • Ensure seamless integration of OT systems, PLC, SCADA, MES with enterprise IT systems, ERP databases and cloud services.
  • Implement secure and efficient data exchange using REST APIs, MQTT and OPC UA protocols.
  • Manage industrial databases for high availability and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to align system capabilities with production and business objectives.
  • Provide technical leadership in digital transformation initiatives such as Industry 4.0 smart manufacturing and predictive analytics.
  • Troubleshoot, optimize and support existing SCADA/MES deployments to minimize downtime.
  • Mentor junior engineers and promote knowledge sharing within the engineering team.

Requirements:

  • Strong background in MES functions, production tracking, OEE, downtime analysis, traceability, SPC etc.
  • Proficiency with database technologies including SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL or equivalent.
  • Hands-on experience with OT/IT integration technologies including REST APIs and MQTT.
  • Familiarity with industrial control systems, PLC, SCADA, HMIs and plant floor connectivity.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices in OT environments.
  • Experience working on large-scale digital transformation projects.
