Homologation Specialist

We are seeking a Sr. Engineer to lead the homologation process for retrofit emission control devices and automotive products.

The candidate will be responsible for driving all homologation-related activities, leading the homologation team, and ensuring successful completion of type-approval and CoP projects that meet regulatory compliance requirements.

• Develop powerful homologation strategies and roadmaps for retrofit emission control devices and automotive products.
• Establish and manage relationships with test agencies and regulatory bodies to ensure smooth project execution.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the homologation team, ensuring effective strategy execution and timely completion of tasks.
• Monitor and report on the homologation process, including risks and issues, to senior management.
• Manage the homologation budget and allocate resources effectively.
• Take full ownership of homologation-related projects within the company.
• Foster a culture of process-driven innovation across the engineering team, promoting cross-functional collaboration and open communication.
• Work in ambiguous situations while maintaining team focus and motivation. Additionally, contribute significantly to company-level strategy development.
• Manage external homologation partners and provide guidance on homologation requirements.
• Develop and maintain necessary contacts for regular exchange of regulatory information.

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience in homologation, certification, or regulatory compliance, with a minimum of 1 year in a leadership role.
• Experience working with regulatory agencies, certification bodies, and homologation partners.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities.
