Cloud Financial Management Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Financial Management Specialist to join our team. This individual will be responsible for driving financial accountability of cloud consumption, providing insights into consumption, spend and optimisation options.

About the Role
  • The role covers E2E platform management, including creation and maintenance of BigQuery datasets and views, administration of billing exports, deployment of Cloudfunctions, API integrations and compliance adherence.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in GCP services, FinOps and IT Application management, with a minimum of 7 years' experience in infrastructure and cloud technology industry.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Ensure the FinOps application is maintained in accordance with the bank's IT Security Risk, Audit and Compliance requirements.
  2. Provisioning and maintenance of GCP billing, recommender and database services to support FinOps internal and external capabilities.
  3. Provisioning of serverless GCP services to support the automation of key FinOps insights and optimization / recommendation capabilities.
  4. Management of FinOps GCP IAM roles, permissions and Github repositories.
  5. Support with the integration of our FinOps platform into other tools used within the bank.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Infrastructure & Cloud technology industry experience (7+ Years)
  • Strong understanding of Software Development Lifecycle methodology
  • Proficient with Terraform, Python and Github (3+ Years)
  • Proficient in GCP infrastructure and GCP services
  • Proficient in data analysis tools (e.g. Excel, PowerQuery, SQL)
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Experience in FinOps preferred
