Job Title: MuleSoft API Test Engineer

We are looking for a skilled professional to test and validate MuleSoft APIs and integrations, ensuring they meet business requirements and perform with high reliability.

The role demands expertise in API testing tools, a strong understanding of REST/SOAP, and hands-on MuleSoft testing experience. Knowledge of backend data verification will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Test Planning & Collaboration
  • Work closely with developers, architects, and business analysts to understand API specifications.
  • Design detailed test strategies, plans, and scenarios for MuleSoft APIs.
  • Testing & Validation
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing of MuleSoft APIs.
  • Validate RESTful and SOAP-based APIs, checking response formats, headers, status codes, and business logic.
  • Execute API mocking and simulate downstream system responses.
  • Automation & Tools
  • Design and develop automated API test scripts (Postman, SoapUI, JMeter acceptable).
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Defect Management & Reporting
  • Identify, log, track, and retest defects using tools like JIRA.
  • Data Validation
  • Write complex SQL queries for backend data verification.
  • Agile Participation
  • Actively participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Required Qualifications:
  • Experience:
  • Minimum 7+ years in API testing, with 3+ years in MuleSoft API testing.
  • Strong hands-on experience with REST and SOAP APIs.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in API testing tools (Postman, SoapUI, JMeter, ReadyAPI).
  • Knowledge of MuleSoft platform components.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools.
  • Strong understanding of HTTP, JSON, XML, OAuth2, JWT, API security standards.
  • Expertise in writing complex SQL queries.
