Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Plant Operations Manager to lead our maintenance team at our plant in Derabassi, Punjab. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in refrigeration, equipment, instrumentation, and electrical systems with a focus on food processing operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Team Management:
    • Lead and manage a team of engineers and technicians, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities.
    • Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
    • Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment and effective communication.
  • Equipment and System Management:
    • Design, install, commission, and maintain refrigeration systems, processing equipment, and instrumentation.
    • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues, minimizing downtime and optimizing production.
  • Capital Project Management:
    • Develop and manage capital project budgets, schedules, and resources.
    • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
    • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality and safety standards.
  • Electrical and Instrumentation:
    • Design, install, and maintain electrical systems, including distribution, control, and automation.
    • Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and regulations.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and instrumentation issues.
  • Refrigeration and HVAC:
    • Design, install, and maintain refrigeration systems, including ammonia, Freon, and CO2 systems.
    • Ensure compliance with refrigeration safety standards and regulations.
    • Optimize refrigeration system performance to minimize energy consumption and maximize efficiency.
  • Food Safety and Quality:
    • Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, and GFSI certified systems (CFL is BRC certified).
    • Collaborate with the quality team to implement and maintain quality control programs.
    • Participate in audits and inspections to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
    • Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 10 years of experience in food processing or related industry, with a focus on engineering, maintenance, and operations.
    • Proven experience in leadership and team management.
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems, equipment, instrumentation, and electrical systems.
    • Experience with programming languages (PLC, Python) to be able to understand equipment instruments.
    • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
What We Offer
