Job Title: Senior IT Executive
The position of Senior IT Executive plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the university's technology infrastructure and services.
This role involves a blend of hands-on technical support, system administration, and project coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversight of daily IT operations, including network availability, server performance, and system uptime.
- Providing advanced technical support for hardware and software issues for faculty, staff, and students.
- Management of day-to-day IT tasks and user requests, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Implementation and management of software deployment, updates, and patching across the university's systems.
Network & Infrastructure Management:
- Assistance in the administration and maintenance of the university's wired and wireless networks (LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi access points, routers, switches).
- Monitoring of network performance, troubleshooting of connectivity issues, and ensuring network security.
- Management and maintenance of server infrastructure, including physical and virtual servers.
- Oversight of data backup and recovery operations to ensure business continuity.
Software & System Administration:
- Administration and support of key university applications, including Learning Management Systems (LMS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, Student Information Systems (SIS), and other academic/administrative software.
- Administration and maintenance of Microsoft Exchange Online for email services.
- Management of user accounts, permissions, and access controls across various platforms.
Audit-Video and Event Support:
- Setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of audio and video systems in classrooms, conference rooms, and auditoriums.
- Provision of dedicated IT support for college internal and external events, including live streaming, sound, and visual presentations.
Cybersecurity & Data Protection:
- Implementation and enforcement of IT security policies and procedures to protect university data and systems from threats.
- Monitoring of security alerts, conducting vulnerability assessments, and responding to security incidents.
- Promotion of cybersecurity awareness among university users.
Project Management & Coordination:
- Leadership or assistance in the planning, execution, and completion of IT projects, such as system upgrades, infrastructure improvements, and new technology rollouts.
- Coordination with internal departments and external vendors to ensure project milestones are met.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Development and maintenance of comprehensive IT documentation, including system configurations, network diagrams, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and asset inventories.
- Generation of regular reports on IT performance, incidents, and project progress.
