Skill Development Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled professional to design and implement effective training programs for associates at all levels. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in instructional design, adult learning principles, and experience with learning management systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct needs assessments through surveys, interviews, and consultation with managers to identify training gaps
  • Develop and deliver engaging training programs and materials, ensuring alignment with business objectives
  • Oversee onboarding programs for new hires and ongoing development for current employees, tracking participation and maintaining accurate records
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make improvements as needed, staying current with industry trends and best practices in learning and development
Requirements:
  • Masters or Post Graduate Degree
  • 5+ years of experience in training, learning and development, or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of instructional design and adult learning principles
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with learning management systems (LMS) and training software
  • Understanding of eCommerce and cross border trade space
  • Certification in training or development (e.g., CPTD, ATD, SHRM-CP)
  • Experience in retail or large-scale operations
  • Ability to analyze data and report on training effectiveness
