Software Development Engineer Test Lead

Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned software development engineer to serve as a test lead. This position requires extensive knowledge of testing storage systems, filesystems, and cloud infrastructure.

  • Develop innovative tests to expose weaknesses in storage tiering, kernel interactions, and edge cases
  • Implement shift-left testing through fault injection, fuzzing, and adversarial approaches
  • Create automated test frameworks to simulate filesystem corruption, kernel panics, and recovery scenarios
  • Induce I/O storms, memory leaks, and resource starvation
  • Solve complex issues at the kernel, filesystem, and block device layers

The ideal candidate will be hands-on with Linux/Windows storage stacks and benchmarking tools (fio, vdbench), and will have strong scripting skills (Java/Python/Bash/Go) and test automation experience.

Familiarity with kernel debugging (strace, eBPF, WinDbg) and experience with cloud storage platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) are also required.

  • 5-9 years of experience in testing storage systems, filesystems, or cloud infrastructure
  • Hands-on experience with Linux/Windows storage stacks and benchmarking tools

  • Test automation experience
  • Familiarity with kernel debugging
  • Experience with cloud storage platforms
