Machine Learning Expert Wanted

We are seeking a highly skilled Machine Learning Expert to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in math and ML fundamentals, with experience working with PyTorch to train and debug deep models. They should be comfortable in an ambiguous, fast-paced, high-ownership startup setup and always curious, always building, and not afraid to experiment.

  • Solve real-world perception problems for cooking using machine learning (e.g., regression, segmentation, classification, object detection)
  • Train, evaluate, and productionize transformer-based vision models to identify type/shape/size of ingredient, track visual changes in color, texture of food as it cooks
  • Owning the end-to-end pipeline for ML capabilities – idea to dataset collection to building prototype to production
  • Fine-tune LLMs on use-cases and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) customizing recipes in real-time
Key Responsibilities
  1. Perception Problem Solving: Use machine learning to solve real-world perception problems for cooking, such as regression, segmentation, classification, and object detection
  2. Transformer-Based Vision Models: Train, evaluate, and productionize transformer-based vision models to identify ingredients, track visual changes in food, and more
  3. ML Pipeline Ownership: Own the end-to-end pipeline for ML capabilities, from idea to dataset collection to prototype development and production
  4. LLM Customization: Fine-tune large language models (LLMs) on specific use cases and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) to customize recipes in real-time

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires a unique blend of technical expertise, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
