Job Purpose:As a Category Buyer, you will be responsible for sourcing IT Services, Engineering Design & Development, and Electronic Manufacturing. You will lead supplier selection exercises, implement Thales Purchasing policy, and manage contracts and framework agreements.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Manage the end-to-end performance of the purchase acquisition process, including RFI &/or RFP's.
- Lead supplier selection exercises to support business needs.
- Implement Thales Purchasing policy and communicate it to requesting parties.
- Deploy, implement, and monitor agreed category strategies.
- Manage contracts, NDA's, and framework agreements, including creation, monitoring, and archiving.
- Negotiate pricing and purchase acquisition conditions with selected suppliers.
- Keep purchasing data up-to-date in information systems and guarantee their integrity.
- Ensure suppliers deliver on their contract commitments and track their performance.
- Provide information for purchase acquisition forecasts and related requirements.
- Manage supplier relationships and continuous improvement of suppliers within the category.
- Create purchasing orders in the information system, in line with negotiated terms/contracts.
- Track delivery with suppliers, identify risks of non-fulfilment, and alert stakeholders.
- This position will be based out of Bangalore.
- Women candidates are preferred.
- Individuals should have good exposure to procurement of IT Services, Embedded Engineering design & development, and Electronic Manufacturing.
- Knowledge of Hardware & Software product design and development lifecycle is an advantage.
- Individuals should have a good understanding of Supplier Management, including Risk Management and ESG.
- Experience in Aerospace & Defence industry domain is an added advantage.
- Individuals should have the ability to challenge suppliers and internal stakeholders for optimizing cost through smart ideas and engineering inputs.
- Strong oral and written communication skills with experience in influencing others.
- Strong tools expertise in Microsoft Power Point, Excel, Word, and PowerBI.
- Self-motivated/self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
