Job Summary:

The MEP CAD Technician is a critical member of our design and delivery team, responsible for creating accurate 2D and 3D CAD drawings and models that support efficient project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare detailed 2D drawings and 3D models of mechanical, electrical, and public health systems using AutoCAD and/or Revit (BIM).
  • Collaborate with MEP Engineers and Designers to translate design concepts into coordinated drawings.
  • Evaluate drawings for compliance with project requirements, building regulations, industry standards, and company CAD/BIM protocols.
  • Assist in the development of coordinated services drawings, clash detection, and model updates.
  • Maintain drawing registers, file management systems, and revision control.
  • Support project teams in producing tender, construction, and as-built drawings.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (essential) and Revit MEP/BIM (preferred).
  • Experience in preparing MEP drawings and understanding of building services design.
  • Familiarity with British Standards, Building Regulations, and industry codes of practice.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage workload, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
