Job Title: Storage Infrastructure Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Storage Administrator to manage our SAN and storage environments. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of Hitachi Mid-Range and Enterprise storages, including operations support, zoning via CISCO SAN Switches, and storage replication technologies.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day administration, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and participating in problem solving and troubleshooting. They will also maintain systems level maintenance, track storage usage trending, and provide Storage Area Network Configuration and Administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage infrastructure events, including capacity management, monitoring of storage subsystem and SAN switch capacity, and performance data analysis.
  • Perform preliminary problem diagnosis and documentation, and coordinate with vendors for incident resolution.
  • Investigate and diagnose raised problems or problem records for root cause analysis, and perform necessary storage infrastructure maintenance.
  • Mentor and train junior admins, oversee the design, installation, configuration, and de-provision of storage solutions, and perform performance management for SAN and storage.
  • IT Service continuity management, including monitoring of disaster recovery solutions, data movement, and replication, and business resumption testing (DR) for storage.

Skill Requirements:

  • 8 years+ experience in handling majority of activities mentioned in the scope above.
  • Experience in handling Hitachi storages and Brocade switches infrastructure.
  • Exposure to Operations and Management activities on Hitachi Storage(s), Unified compute platforms, various Host O/S including basic cluster management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication.
  • Hitachi Technical certification is desirable.

Requirements:

  • Candidate should have hands-on experience on Hitachi Mid-Range and Enterprise storages operations support.
  • Good communication skills and able to manage shifts single handed.
