Job Title

You will serve as a data architect for an enterprise analytics and data mastering solution using Databricks and Power BI. Your expertise in both data architecture and analytics will be essential to create scalable, reliable, and high-performing solutions that support advanced research pipelines and cohort-building.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Architectural Design: You will design scalable enterprise analytics solutions using Databricks, Power BI, and other modern data tools. You will leverage data virtualization, ETL, and semantic layers to unify data, balancing performance with data transformation.
  • Collaboration & Leadership: You will collaborate closely with key stakeholders across departments to design and implement data models and ensure best practices for data governance and security. You will serve as a subject matter expert and technical leader, mentoring other teams and presenting architecture strategies.
  • Data Modeling & Pipelines: You will design robust data models and processing layers that support both analytical and operational reporting needs. You will collaborate with data engineers to build and optimize ETL pipelines, ensuring efficient data ingestion and processing.
  • Governance & Best Practices: You will develop and implement best practices for data governance, security, and compliance within Databricks and Power BI environments. You will also create robust documentation of architectural direction, patterns, and standards.
  • Technology & Innovation: You will continuously evaluate and adopt new technologies and methodologies to enhance the architecture and performance of data solutions. You will participate hands-on in pilots and proofs-of-concept for new patterns.
Qualifications
  • A Master's degree with 6-8 years of experience, a Bachelor's degree with 8-10 years of experience, or a Diploma with 10-12 years of experience in data management and data solution architecture.
  • Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience building Change-Data-Capture (CDC) ETL pipelines, data warehouse design, and enterprise-level data management.
  • Hands-on experience with Databricks, including data engineering, optimization, and analytics workloads.
  • Deep understanding of Power BI, including model design, DAX, and Power Query.
  • Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS), data lakes, and data warehouses.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing data mastering solutions and data governance frameworks.
  • Certifications such as SAFe Agile Practitioner (6.0), Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate (Power BI), and Databricks Certified Professional are preferred.

  • Domain Knowledge: Experience with human healthcare data, laboratory testing, and clinical trial data management is a plus.
