About the Role

As an SAP Basis Support Consultant, you will work on Rotational Night Shifts and be responsible for managing BASIS support projects. You will maintain multiple SAP instances, comprising the SAP environment (Training, Development, Quality, and Production). Your expertise will include SAP Products (ECC, BW, Portal, Solman, BOBJ, PI-PO, Fiori, S4 HANA) administration, database administration, and system refresh activities on Oracle, DB2, MS SQL, Sybase, Max-db, and HANA.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain multiple SAP instances, including Training, Development, Quality, and Production environments.
  • Familiarity with SAP Products (ECC, BW, Portal, Solman, BOBJ, PI-PO, Fiori, S4 HANA) and Administration.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for Database administration and system refresh activities on Oracle, DB2, MS SQL, Sybase, Max-db, and HANA.
  • Configure and manage SAP printers with strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience in SAP HANA performance tuning and AMS Support.
  • TMS Configurations and perform transports SSL configuration, resolving certification issues.
  • Java administration using Config Tool, Visual Admin & NWA.
  • Restarts/Reboots of SAP applications, Database, and Operating systems.
  • Hands-on experience on SAP Applications installations and configurations.
  • Use a structured approach to minimize risk and achieve high reliability, availability, and performance of each SAP instance.
  • Critical routine health check of SAP systems (work processes, users, system logs, short dumps, locks, developer traces, system traces, disk space, etc) / Performance Tuning.
  • SAP client administration (create client, copy client, delete client, export/import client) as required.
  • Hands-on experience End-to-End analysis like SAP Application issues, Database Issues (Oracle, MS SQL, and DB2, HANA, Max-db, and Sybase) and Operating systems issues (Windows servers, HP Ux, Linux, and IBM AIX).
  • Early watch reports analysis for all SAP Components.
  • Prepare the root cause analysis report of the L3 issues.
  • Hands-on experience to perform Kernel upgrades.
  • Hands-on experience on New dimension productions.
  • Performance tuning for SAP Applications and Database.
  • HANA DB Troubleshooting.
  • SYBASE Database issues troubleshooting.
  • To manage on-call for support for Very high tickets.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Should work independently and help other team members as needed.
