Job Title: Solar Energy Systems Designer

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and optimizing solar energy systems, conducting feasibility studies, and ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards.

This role involves performance modeling, component evaluation, preparing engineering documentation, and collaborating with teams and regulatory bodies.

By staying updated on industry trends and offering technical support, the Design Engineer contributes to innovative and efficient solar project solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and optimize solar energy systems while participating in design reviews and meetings.
  • Software and Performance Modelling: Utilize software tools to model system performance and adapt designs based on project needs and technological advancements.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Prepare and maintain accurate engineering documentation, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and industry standards.
  • Site and Feasibility Assessments: Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to support project development and progress.
  • Component Selection and System Evaluation: Evaluate and select solar components, analyzing performance data to recommend improvements.
  • Industry Trends and Best Practices: Stay current with industry trends and technologies, adapting to new tools and techniques in solar design.
  • Regulatory Compliance and Permits: Collaborate with regulatory bodies to secure necessary permits and ensure projects meet safety and environmental regulations.
  • Technical Support and Problem Solving: Provide technical support, address challenges, and contribute to a positive work environment.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's/master's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
  • Experience in managing design projects from conception to implementation.
  • Ability to coordinate with other engineers and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to take ideas and run with them from concept to conclusion.
  • Exceptional verbal and writing communication skills with superiors, peers, partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
