About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join our team at American Express. As a Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the development and implementation of analytical solutions to drive business growth and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain next-generation Management Information Systems (MIS) to empower Regional/Market General Managers and executive Senior Leadership Teams to make informed strategic decisions.
  • Provide data support and analytical solutions to stakeholders and leadership using advanced analytics techniques, including Natural Language Processing (NLP), clustering, segmentation, predictive modeling, and customer targeting.
  • Strengthen the foundation by exploring big data platforms for new tables and missing metrics.
  • Partner and collaborate with multiple teams to create insights and MIS that will help stakeholders understand overall performance.
  • Craft compelling PowerPoint narratives that effectively communicate analysis to stakeholders, ensuring it is easily comprehensible.
  • Translate complex analytical output into easily digestible insights with clear recommendations.
  • Identify opportunities for new automated and custom analytics solutions around all areas of the customer journey and servicing touchpoints.
  • Develop an advanced understanding of data sources and potential usage scenarios.
  • Identify new technologies and capabilities that can advance and future-proof analytical solutions.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in analytical/modeling skills with 2+ years in data modeling and MIS.
  • Graduation/post-graduation in Management, Economics/Statistics or related fields from top-tier institutes.
  • Experience in big data query and analytical tools such as Hive, Yellow Bricks, and MLS.
  • Experience in visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Prior experience of working on SQL and Python.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and integrate with cross-functional business partners worldwide.
  • Experience working on Cornerstone, Lumi.
  • Ability to drive results with strong thought-leadership.
  • Extensive exposure to MS tools, including advanced MS Excel, PowerPoint, MS Access, Power Platform, including Power BI and Power Automate.
