About this Role

We are seeking a skilled professional to assist in the preparation of preliminary design for Rail Track projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Horizontal and Vertical Alignment: Responsible for designing horizontal and vertical centre line alignment, taking into account various design methodologies and quality standards.
  • Points and Crossings: Prepare points and crossings based on operation concept, ensuring seamless integration with other project components.
  • Standard Procedures: Create and implement standard working procedures to ensure work execution as per Statement of Design (SOD), promoting efficiency and quality.
  • As-Built Component Analysis: Analyze each as-built component with tolerance to precede construction based on redesign with original tender design, suggesting suitable solutions to avoid infringement during mass construction.
  • Project Planning: Plan and coordinate day-to-day activities involved in Rail Track projects, ensuring timely completion and quality delivery.
  • Elevated Sections: Possess extensive knowledge of various design methodologies in elevated sections, applying industry best practices.
  • Rail Design Software: Have good knowledge in Rail Design software about Swept Path Analysis, Regression Analysis, and Drain, leveraging these skills to optimize design outcomes.
  • Design Calculations: Responsible for preparation and review of design calculations of Cant, Cant Deficiency, Cant Excess, Speed, Rate of change of Cant, Rate of change of Cant Deficiency, and Transition, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
  • Quality Assurance: Perform quality assurance for deliverables, review meetings, and issue resolutions, upholding the highest standards of quality and excellence.
  • Site Visits and Interface Management: Conduct site visits for interface and monitoring purposes, ensuring construction activity and site condition meet project requirements and expectations.
  • Collaboration with Teams: Collaborate with entire teams like Geotech, Structure, Signal, Architecture, Utility, Traction, Rolling Stock, and Multi Model Integration, fostering a culture of collaboration and shared success.

Qualifications:

  • Civil Engineering Degree: Graduate degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum 10 Years Experience: Minimum total experience of 10 years, out of which 5 years experience should be in relevant experience in Track Alignment of Metro projects.
