Senior Backend Developer

About the Project: Stealth Prop-tech Platform

Stealth Prop-tech is seeking an expert Senior Backend Developer to lead the development of a comprehensive ecosystem integrating long-term sales, short-term stays, and advanced technologies.

This critical leadership role offers the chance to design and build a sophisticated backend architecture from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and build scalable and secure RESTful APIs serving all frontend clients (web, iOS, Android).
  • Develop core business logic for all platform features, including user authentication, property management (CRUD), search algorithms, and monetization systems.
  • Architect and manage the platform's database schema (PostgreSQL) ensuring data integrity, performance, and scalability.
  • Lead the integration of numerous third-party services including payment gateways, mapping services, messaging APIs, and virtual tour providers.
  • Collaborate with the AI/ML team to build data pipelines and API endpoints supporting features like recommendation engines and automated property valuations.
  • Work with the Web3 team to integrate backend services with blockchain platforms for tokenization and cryptocurrency payment gateways.
  • Implement robust security and data protection measures in line with international standards.
  • Mentor junior backend developers, conduct code reviews, and establish best practices for coding, testing, and deployment.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in backend software development with a proven track record of building complex applications.
  • Expert proficiency in at least one modern backend programming language and framework (e.g., Python with Django/Flask, Node.js with Express, Go, or Java with Spring).
  • Strong experience designing and building RESTful APIs and service-oriented architectures.
  • Deep expertise in relational database design and management, particularly with PostgreSQL.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure) and deploying applications in a cloud environment.
  • Solid understanding of software security principles and best practices.
  • Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in the PropTech or FinTech sectors.
  • Experience working on projects involving AI/ML, such as building APIs for recommendation systems or predictive models.
  • Familiarity with blockchain concepts and experience integrating backend systems with Web3 technologies.
  • Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of big data technologies and building data pipelines.
