US Financial Accountant

About the Position: We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical General Accountant with expertise in US Accounting principles to support day-to-day accounting operations, month-end processes, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
- Perform general accounting functions including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
- Manage monthly close processes in accordance with US GAAP standards.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure all transactions are properly recorded and classified.
- Reconcile bank statements and other balance sheet accounts.
- Support intercompany transactions and ensure proper elimination entries.
- Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and respond to auditor inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations.
- Work collaboratively with finance, operations, and external stakeholders.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and support automation efforts.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Handling journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
- Managing closing processes for months and years in line with US GAAP.
- Preparing accurate financial statements and reports for regulatory purposes.
- Ensuring the general ledger is up-to-date and transactions are correctly recorded.
- Reconciling bank statements and other key accounts.
- Supporting intercompany transactions with accurate elimination entries.
- Assisting in audit schedules and responding to auditor queries.
