Closeout Coordinator - Telecom Job Description

The Closeout Coordinator is a crucial role in the closeout process across various project stages, ensuring accuracy and completeness of project documentation and materials.

  • Anticipate, manage, and coordinate all steps necessary for project closeout, ensuring compliance with established procedures and timelines.
  • Maintain and update project data in designated planning tools while collaborating with project controls team members to verify information accuracy and integrity.
  • Oversee return of confirmed surplus materials through RMA process, ensuring all items are recorded appropriately in warehouse and PeopleSoft.
  • Maintain regular communication with project-assigned Video Quality Auditor and Project Controls team to facilitate accurate true-up and turnover documentation.
  • Assist scoping team in promoting RFDS for scopes where drone inspections are not required and serve as Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for delivering SAQ CADs to quality team.
  • Review subcontractor material purchase order requests for potential cost recovery and forward to scoping team as necessary.
  • Own final turnover package, including reviewing turnover deliverables submitted by General Contractor (GC), regularly following up with GCs regarding deliverables.
  • Act as sole approver for closeout processes in PeopleSoft and manage all JVizion tasks and data fields associated with turnover processes.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 2+ years of industry experience.
  • Good understanding of engineering concepts.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Relevant experience in wireless technology and telecommunications.
  • Engineering certification in related discipline preferred.
  • Working knowledge of industry standard materials preferred.
  • Construction management background.
  • Telecommunication experience of any kind.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of project management principles and practices, with experience in closeout processes and telecom-related projects.
