Job Title: Senior Infrastructure Operations Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Operations Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the management and maintenance of our infrastructure, ensuring that it is always available and performing at its best.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintain the availability and performance of our GKE-based applications in high-pressure production environments.
  • Respond to and resolve incidents and service requests related to application functionality and performance.
  • Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
  • Document support processes, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for future reference.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on issue resolution and status.
  • Should have experience with monitoring tools and incident management systems.
  • Ability to analyze logs, identify patterns, and trace system failures.
  • Solid experience in SQL and database querying for debugging and reporting.
  • Experience in monitoring/alerting tools on GCP.

Desirable Skills:

  • Strong Python skills with production-level experience.
  • Strong FastAPI development and deployment practices.
  • Worked in Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) - including workload deployment, autoscaling, and tuning.
  • Must have GCP experience in Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, Composer, Bigtable, and Bigquery.
