Job Overview
Sales Engineer for Electrical Switchgear at Smart Work Consultants, a leading provider of electrical switch gear solutions.

We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager – Switchgear to drive sales strategy, growth, and market penetration of our switchgear products.

This role involves managing key accounts, developing new business opportunities, and ensuring strong relationships with customers across various sectors. The Sales Manager will work closely with the technical, marketing, and operations teams to ensure customer needs are met and that sales targets are achieved.

About the Role
The ideal candidate will have experience in sales / business development, preferably in the electrical industry. You will be responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding our customer base, and identifying new business opportunities. Your excellent communication skills, ability to build strong relationships, and knowledge of the electrical industry will enable you to succeed in this role.

Main Responsibilities
  • Sales Strategy & Business Development:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy for the switchgear product line to achieve revenue growth and market share targets.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across key industries such as utilities, construction, manufacturing, and infrastructure.
  • Manage a pipeline of potential and existing clients, and proactively approach new customers to generate leads and secure contracts.

  • Client Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within client organizations.
  • Regularly meet with clients to understand their needs, present product solutions, and negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and technical support to ensure ongoing satisfaction and repeat business.

  • Sales Team Leadership & Coordination:
  • Lead and mentor the sales team, setting clear goals, KPIs, and targets to ensure individual and team success.
  • Provide regular coaching and feedback to sales representatives, fostering a high-performance sales culture.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute targeted campaigns and promotional activities.

  • Product Knowledge & Technical Support:
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of the company's switchgear products, including specifications, applications, and industry trends.
  • Work closely with the engineering and product development teams to ensure product offerings meet customer requirements and industry standards.
  • Provide technical support during sales presentations and assist clients with product selection and custom solutions.

  • Market Research & Reporting:
  • Conduct market research to identify competitor activities, market trends, and customer preferences in the switchgear industry.
  • Analyze sales data, market conditions, and customer feedback to refine sales strategies and improve product offerings.
  • Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and business development activities to senior management.
