Plant IT Director

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced IT professional to lead the IT infrastructure and systems for a manufacturing plant. The successful candidate will be responsible for heading the overall IT operations, ensuring the smooth functioning of various internal functions like production, engineering, quality control, and warehouse management.

This is a challenging role that requires a proven track record of heading IT systems in a medium to large-scale formulation or API manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate should have expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust infrastructure and systems to support various internal functions within the manufacturing facility.

The key responsibilities of this role include overseeing the installation, configuration, and management of servers, ensuring optimal performance for reliable operations. This includes managing active and passive networking components, including switches, routers, firewalls, and cable systems.

In addition to technical skills, the successful candidate should have excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. They should also be familiar with industry regulations and standards, particularly those relevant to GxP standards.

The ideal candidate will have at least 15 years of relevant experience in IT, preferably in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. They should have a strong understanding of pharmaceutical processes and their importance on product quality and safety.

Adequate knowledge of OT-IT systems integration, information security, cyber security, and privacy security is essential. Additionally, experience with cloud infrastructure, virtualization technologies, and project management is desirable.
