Role Overview

The Head of Global Politics Content will be responsible for leading the geopolitical content desk at Staffing Solutions, overseeing the ideation, research, writing, and production of high-quality and impactful content.

This role is ideal for an experienced media professional with a deep understanding of global political dynamics and a proven ability to drive content creation and audience engagement.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing content strategies, ensuring insightful coverage of geopolitical events, and leading a team to produce cutting-edge media pieces.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Strategy & Ideation:
    • Develop and execute content strategies focused on geopolitical issues, aligning with the company's editorial objectives.
    • Lead brainstorming sessions to generate fresh, unique ideas for stories and multimedia content on global politics.
  • Research and Analysis:
    • Conduct in-depth research on geopolitical events, trends, and issues to ensure content accuracy and relevance.
    • Analyze current events, offering insights and forecasts on global political dynamics to guide content development.
  • Writing and Editorial Oversight:
    • Write, edit, and oversee the production of engaging and well-researched content, including articles, reports, and digital media.
    • Ensure that all written content meets editorial standards, maintains neutrality, and provides value to the audience.
  • Visual Production and Multimedia Integration:
    • Oversee the creation of visually compelling content, including videos, infographics, and interactive media, in collaboration with the visual production team.
    • Ensure that visual elements enhance storytelling and engage diverse audiences across digital platforms.
  • Team Leadership and Coordination:
    • Manage and mentor a team of writers, researchers, and production staff, fostering a collaborative and creative environment.
    • Coordinate with other editorial desks to align on content themes and strategies, enhancing cross-departmental synergy.
  • Audience Engagement and Market Trends:
    • Monitor audience engagement metrics and adjust content strategies based on insights and analytics.
    • Stay updated on media industry trends, particularly in digital journalism and multimedia production, to continually enhance content relevance and quality.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years in journalism, media, or content production with a strong focus on geopolitics.
  • Skills:
    • Strong writing and editorial skills, with experience in crafting insightful and impactful geopolitical content.
    • Proficiency in visual production and multimedia content, including familiarity with content creation tools and software.
    • Exceptional research skills with a deep understanding of global political landscapes.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to inspire and guide a creative team.
  • Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced media environment.
