Financial Analyst Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our team. As an Operations Finance Analyst, you will be responsible for the financial management of a portfolio of projects.

About the Job
  • Contribute to the achievement of financial and business objectives through accurate and timely reporting of revenue and costs.
  • Work cross-functionally with operations, contracts, and proposals, and finance throughout the project lifecycle.

You will administer the daily financial management of a portfolio consisting of single service contracts and tactical accounts. This includes identifying issues related to contract modifications, contract values, and contract deliverables.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Analyzing budget to actual data on monthly, quarterly, and annual bases for revenue calculations and forecasting.
  • Ensuring that all assigned projects adhere to accepted cost accounting standards.
  • Performing regular profitability and cash flow analysis on assigned projects.
  • Reconciling costs and revenues recognized for assigned projects.

You will also analyze revenue forecast variance and check forecast accuracy. Additionally, you will track and maintain project information and budgets within the project accounting system.

Other key tasks include reviewing and approving work movements and scope changes, coordinating with support staff to ensure sponsors are invoiced in a timely and accurate manner, and assisting in the preparation of invoice backup requirements, and client reconciliation requests.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Previous experience that provides knowledge, skills, and abilities comparable to a minimum of 2-4 years' experience, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
