Technical Leader - Shaping Software Development

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Leader to shape the strategic direction of our software development teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Define and drive the technical roadmap for our software development teams, ensuring alignment with enterprise data standards, modernisation priorities, and cloud-first solutions.
  • Pave the way for autonomous delivery by removing technology blockers, decoupling applications, and streamlining processes, leveraging tech enablers like DevOps, containerisation, and API-first design.
  • Plan, define, and design high-level solutions, assisting squads in identifying the right technologies and making sound architectural decisions.
  • Work with chapter leads to forecast and define crew tech capability requirements, supporting the implementation of practices, tooling, and training provided in the Crew.
  • Drive operational excellence and support mission-critical production services with diverse stakeholders and complex dependencies.
  • Ensure good design, refactoring, and technical debt elimination, making technical debt and associated impacts visible to the Crew and working with POs to reduce it over time.
  • Accountable for the development, performance management, and career progression of Technology roles such as Software and Systems Engineers.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience with a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks, including but not limited to:
  • Sound knowledge of large-scale distributed systems, Microservices, and Rest API Integration.
  • Cloud experience, preferably on AWS large scale data warehouse implementations.
  • Extensive experience designing and implementing scalable, maintainable, and reliable software solutions.
  • Working knowledge of AI/ML and Gen AI applications and their enhancement of software engineering processes.
  • Building RAGs using LlamaIndex, LangChain, or similar frameworks.
  • Agentic AI system building experience using AutoGen, CrewAI, Pydantic, or similar frameworks.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, TypeScript, C#) and experience developing microservices architecture on cloud platforms (AWS & Azure).
  • A keen interest in researching new AI tooling and daily use of AI coding assistants.
