This key role involves leading the implementation of manual and automation testing frameworks.

As a senior test engineer, you will be responsible for planning, deploying, and managing the testing effort for any given project or release. Your focus will be on defining the scope of testing within the context of each project or delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise with application teams to create test design frameworks as per requirements
  • Develop and maintain test data for automation test cases
  • Perform SIT and UAT test execution, overseeing junior test engineers
  • Select regression tests and suitable automation test cases based on criteria
  • Report defects, track defect ageing and ensure timely resolution
  • Provide test results walkthroughs to stakeholders
  • Maintain test assets and repository
  • Drive testing best practices through regular knowledge sharing sessions
  • Document project progress including test planning, execution, and defect reporting
  • Ensure effective communication with test leads on project issues

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of testing experience
  • Excellent communication, articulation, and assertiveness skills
  • Able to manage multiple stakeholders
  • Certification in automation tools (preferred)
  • Experience in BFSI/telecom domain or similar industries an advantage
  • Able to drive processes and adherence
  • Knowledge of agile methodology
  • Able to manage small teams
