Quality Assurance Specialist

About this role

We're seeking a meticulous and driven QA professional to uphold the highest standards of quality and reliability in our mobile franchise.

This role requires the ability to work independently in a remote environment, with strong problem-solving skills, curiosity, precision, and a sense of ownership.

You'll be responsible for developing and executing tests on new features, tools, and content to ensure they meet exacting standards, especially around high-impact areas.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of professional QA experience in games or software testing, with a strong understanding of LiveOps processes, config validations, and content testing.

You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to identify potential quality risks early, reproduce and isolate complex issues, and generate clear and concise QA documentation, reports, and feedback summaries.

Key responsibilities:

  • Ensure all software is functioning as intended with an exceptional level of detail and accuracy
  • Create, maintain, and execute test plans and test cases across new and existing game content, tools, and platforms
  • Document and track issues using bug tracking software from discovery through resolution
  • Collaborate with developers, designers, artists, and product managers to identify potential quality risks early
  • Reproduce and isolate complex issues to support engineering resolution efforts
  • Generate clear and concise QA documentation, reports, and feedback summaries
  • Identify gaps in test coverage and proactively suggest process improvements

Requirements:

Mandatory qualifications:

  • 5+ years of professional QA experience in games or software testing
  • Strong understanding of LiveOps processes, config validations, and content testing
  • Proven ability to work independently in night shifts, staying highly responsive and accountable
  • High attention to detail and the ability to spot inconsistencies quickly
  • Hands-on experience with bug tracking (Jira) and test management tools (Xray, TestRail, etc.)
  • Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams (Dev, Config, Product, Art)
  • Experience with mobile or web-based games or apps

Nice to have qualifications:

  • Experience testing F2P mobile or web-based games
  • Familiarity with slot games or monetization-driven content
  • Experience with Unity-based asset validation and bundle integration checks
  • Exposure to automation tools or scripting for regression optimization

Shift details:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent relevant experience
  • Shift: Night Shift: 2.30 AM to 11.30 AM IST
  • Experience: 6+ years of professional game software testing experience required
  • Gaming domain experience is a must
  • Expected to handle critical validations, live content checks, and stakeholder communication in real-time
