About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Government Tender/GEM Bidding Specialist to steer and manage our government procurement and bidding processes. This role requires expertise in end-to-end bid management, including tender submission, compliance, competitive analysis, and client interactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Steer the end-to-end process of government and PSU tenders for our Mumbai office.
  • Oversee tender identification, bid preparation, submission, and compliance on GEM and other government portals.
  • Conduct competitive analysis to determine pricing and bidding strategy.
  • Represent the company in client meetings, clarifications, and negotiations (online & in-person).
  • Prepare, review, and submit accurate and compliant bid documents, ensuring adherence to statutory, technical, and financial criteria.
  • Maintain all necessary registrations, licenses, and certifications required for government tenders.
  • Ensure timely updates and modifications to tender-related documentation as per government norms.
  • Regularly track government procurement trends, tenders, and upcoming opportunities on GEM and other platforms.
  • Identify potential government contracts that align with the company's service offerings.
  • Work closely with technical, finance, and legal teams to create compelling, competitive, and compliant bid proposals.
  • Draft technical and financial proposals tailored to tender requirements and evaluation criteria.
  • Handle post-bid follow-ups, including negotiations, clarifications, and contract documentation.
  • Oversee invoice submissions, billing clearance, and timely contract execution.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 2-5 years in government tendering, particularly on GEM and public procurement portals.
  • Strong understanding of GEM bidding processes, tender compliance, and government procurement procedures.
  • Proficiency in preparing and reviewing tender documents, ensuring statutory, technical, and financial compliance.
  • Ability to identify and track relevant tenders and government procurement opportunities.
  • Strong ability to analyze bid competitiveness, negotiate contracts, and secure successful tenders.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and government e-procurement portals.
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact confidently with government officials and procurement teams.
  • Ability to handle multiple bids under tight deadlines.
