Are you passionate about solving complex data challenges? We're looking for a talented Data Platform Lead to join our team at GSI Electronics Inc.

As a Data Platform Lead, you'll be responsible for overseeing and managing our Informatica Data Management Cloud (IDMC) environment. This includes user administration, ensuring secure and efficient access, and implementing new functionalities on the platform.

You'll collaborate with development teams, data engineers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide support. Your expertise in data integration, architecture, and governance will help ensure alignment with business objectives.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Administering user accounts, roles, and permissions within IDMC to ensure secure and appropriate access.
  2. Configuring and optimizing the IDMC platform to meet performance and scalability requirements.
  3. Implementing and maintaining robust security measures, including encryption, authentication, and authorization.
  4. Establishing and maintaining backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.
  5. Setting up and managing metadata repositories within IDMC to facilitate comprehensive data lineage tracking.
  6. Implementing effective monitoring and logging practices to track system health and identify issues proactively.
  7. Collaborating with development teams and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide support.
  8. Planning and executing platform upgrades to ensure the latest features, security enhancements, and bug fixes are incorporated.
  9. Investigating and resolving issues related to data integration, profiling, system errors, or performance bottlenecks.
  10. Maintaining comprehensive documentation of configurations, processes, and best practices for IDMC administration.
  11. Collaborating with Informatica as a vendor to discuss support, issue resolution, and new feature releases.

You'll also have the opportunity to identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance the efficiency of all workflows on the platform.

We're looking for a candidate with:

  1. A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  2. A minimum of 8 to 12 years of work experience, with at least 4 to 5 years in Data Governance and Data Management.
  3. Expert knowledge and hands-on experience with Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services, covering all aspects of integration, administration, configuration, and optimization.
  4. Experience-based understanding of Data Architecture, Metadata, Data Lifecycle, Data Quality Standards, and Logical Data Modelling.
  5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions within the IDMC environment.
  6. Experience in change data capture, Data warehousing, SQL, SQL Server, and Unix shell scripting.
  7. Effective communication and people skills, capable of interacting with multiple levels of IT and business management.
  8. Expertise in advanced writing, verbal, and presentation skills in English.
