**Job Description:**

About the Role:

We're looking for a skilled Software Performance Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Engineering department, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the optimal performance of our application platforms.

Your primary responsibility will be to design and execute performance test plans and strategies to guarantee system efficiency. You'll oversee the configuration and maintenance of test environments to ensure accurate and consistent testing results.

In addition to developing and implementing performance test plans, you'll document test cases and track related issues in Jira, ensuring proper documentation and timely resolution.

You'll also maintain accurate workload models to replicate real-world user scenarios, ensuring thorough performance testing. Your expertise will be invaluable in conducting load, stress, endurance, volume, and scalability tests across various systems and applications to evaluate their capacity and reliability.

As a Software Performance Engineer, you'll analyze test results and provide actionable recommendations to enhance system performance. You'll troubleshoot performance-related issues using APM tools like Datadog and collaborate with developers and other stakeholders to identify performance bottlenecks and propose improvements.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in performance testing and engineering.
  • Expertise in using performance testing tools such as JMeter, knowledge of K6 is a plus.
  • Good understanding of Performance Testing concepts and terminologies.
  • Knowledge of Java or Other supported Programming language.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to pinpoint performance bottlenecks.
  • Solid understanding of Application Performance Monitoring (APM) tools, such as Datadog or New Relic.
  • Understanding of technical product architecture.
  • Ability to effectively share knowledge and stay aware of current trends and technical advancements.
  • Working knowledge of agile methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to document and present findings effectively.
