Job Title: Strategic Communications Advisor

This is a full-time role responsible for managing organization's communication with the public, media and institutions/agencies, while supporting policy initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, execute and evaluate communication programs that advance agency goals and public understanding.
  • Serve as the main contact for media inquiries, prepare press releases and respond to public and press questions.
  • Represent the organization at institutions, policy makers, civic and community meetings.
  • Advise management on policy formulation, assess potential public reactions to proposed actions and assist in articulating policy statements.
  • Prepare reports, social media materials and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct research, analyze public opinion and regulatory trends, and prepare impact assessments and recommendations for senior leaders.
  • Organize outreach activities, educational initiatives, facility tours, public events and emergency preparedness communications.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strategic thinking and advocacy skills to drive organizational interests in complex stakeholder environments.
  • Ability to analyze, interpret and present information in ways that foster understanding and build support for agency policies.
  • Project management and event coordination abilities.
  • MBA or related educational experience/certifications.
