Big Data Engineer Role

We are looking for a skilled Big Data Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing big data solutions using cutting-edge technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Distributed Computing Expertise: You will have an expert-level understanding of distributed computing principles and the ability to apply them in a real-world setting.
  • Apache Spark Mastery: You should have extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with Apache Spark, including its ecosystem and tools.
  • Programming Skills: Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and Java is essential for this role.
  • Hadoop v2 Experience: You should have experience working with Hadoop v2, MapReduce, HDFS, and Sqoop.
  • Stream-Processing Systems: Experience with building stream-processing systems using technologies like Apache Storm or Spark-Streaming is highly desirable.
  • Messaging Systems: Familiarity with messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ is necessary.
  • Big Data Querying Tools: Good understanding of Big Data querying tools like Hive and Impala is required.
  • Data Integration: Experience with integrating data from multiple sources like RDBMS (SQL Server, Oracle), ERP, and Files is essential.
  • SQL Knowledge: Good understanding of SQL queries, joins, stored procedures, and relational schemas is necessary.
  • NoSQL Databases: Experience with NoSQL databases like HBase, Cassandra, and MongoDB is highly desirable.
  • ETL Techniques: Knowledge of ETL techniques and frameworks is essential.
  • Performance Tuning: Experience with performance tuning of Spark Jobs is necessary.
  • Cloud Services: Familiarity with native Cloud data services like AWS is highly desirable.
  • Team Leadership: Ability to lead a team efficiently is required.
  • Agile Methodology: Practitioner of Agile methodology is necessary.
