Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team as a Cost Analyst. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing and optimizing manufacturing processes to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
About the Role
- You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify areas of improvement and develop strategies to reduce costs.
- Develop and maintain detailed cost models and spreadsheets to analyze and optimize manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with design engineering teams to adopt a design-to-cost approach and propose best cost countries for commodities.
- Prepare cost-effective proposals and lead discussions with senior management.
- Provide expert advice on manufacturing process sequences and select the most cost-effective approaches.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in cost analysis and optimization.
- Thorough knowledge of different manufacturing processes, including casting, forging, sheet metal, and plastics.
- Good understanding of CAD tools, such as CATIA V5, NX, Creo, and SolidWorks.
- Experience working with costing tools like Costimator and aPriori.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
