Job Title: Software Testing Expertise

About the Position:

The software testing expertise position is a senior role in quality assurance focused on developing and executing performance and automation tests. This position collaborates with management to enhance quality and process standards, and plans and executes effective and efficient test approaches to deliver high-quality software products and data.

Responsibilities:

  • Take a positive and constructive approach with an emphasis on collaboration and good execution
  • Develop keenness to learn new technical skills, and possess clear and concise communication skills with a holistic view
  • React fast to situations and utilize Behaviour Driven Development
  • Gain experience in testing applications in a fast-moving and agile environment
  • Work with tools such as Postman for API testing, Selenium, WebDriver IO/Cucumber BDD, JIRA/Confluence for project management/wiki tools, and multiple browsers
  • Write user stories and acceptance criteria, analyse requirements, and experience issue debugging/investigation and assuming a Support Role as needed
  • Experience performance and load testing using JMeter/Gatling, Continuous Integration/Delivery tools

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a quality engineer
  • At least 5 years of automating tests with Java or similar language
  • Working knowledge of testing techniques, test methodologies, their application, and practical usage
  • CI/CD pipelines experience
  • Ability to understand the importance of gathering useful metrics around performance and load testing, and help teams achieve this
  • Capacity to work independently and be the quality champion for your squad
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering/computer science or equivalent experience required
