Job Title:

Site Reliability Engineer for Cloud Platforms

About the Role:

As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the high availability, performance, and reliability of our applications and infrastructure. You will be responsible for building and maintaining robust systems, automating deployments, and troubleshooting complex issues.

This role requires a strong understanding of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) principles and practices, cloud technologies, AWS and Azure, and experience with containerization, microservices, and event-driven architectures.

You will work in a dedicated product development SCRUM team in an iterative delivery model.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins for automated build, test, and deployment processes.
• Manage and optimize deployments in Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Work with microservices architecture to ensure scalability, resilience, and efficient communication between services.
• Develop and implement monitoring and observability solutions to proactively identify and address potential issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve incidents, performing root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure applications are designed and built for reliability and scalability.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our infrastructure and operational processes.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• 6 years of experience as an SRE or DevOps Engineer with a strong understanding of CI/CD principles and practices.
• Hands-on experience with Jenkins for building and managing CI/CD pipelines, including blue-green deployment configurations.
• Experience or working knowledge of a Continuous Delivery tool like Harness.io for building CD pipelines for Kubernetes-based deployments.
• Solid experience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms, including services like EKS, AKS, Lambda, EC2, S3, etc.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.
• Proficiency in containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience working with microservices architectures and understanding the challenges and best practices involved.
• Strong understanding of monitoring and observability on at least one of these tools like CloudWatch, Dynatrace, or open-source ELK stack.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation and tooling.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Fluency in the English language and excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to build strong relationships with extended global teams.
• Customer interfacing experience is a strong preference.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are a must.
