We are seeking a seasoned Principal Data Engineer to join our fast-growing data warehouse team. As a key member of this innovative team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the architecture and mentoring senior engineers while engaging directly with clients.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in data engineering, with 4+ years leading teams, and possess strong coding expertise in Python, JVM, and Shell scripting with production-grade experience. Additionally, they should have experience in cloud-native, data-intensive applications with mandatory AWS expertise and hands-on knowledge of Databricks and dbt.

In this role, you will be responsible for building a holistic roadmap for our data warehouse offerings, solving complex data modeling challenges, ensuring smooth delivery of features, and applying modern marketing data suites. You will work collaboratively with the team to drive large-scale data initiatives and lead by example in implementing cutting-edge technologies.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining scalable and efficient data pipelines
  • Mentoring senior engineers and driving technical excellence
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement data solutions
  • Identifying and mitigating risks to ensure project success

Skill requirements include:

  • Strong understanding of data engineering principles and practices
  • Hands-on experience with Databricks, dbt, and Airflow
  • Proficiency in cloud-based technologies such as AWS and Azure
  • Knowledge of containerization using Docker and Kubernetes
