Immerse yourself in a dynamic environment as a Director, Software Engineering where innovation and expertise converge. This pivotal role leads our applications team in the Commercial Real Estate Technology sphere, specifically within Leasing.

The Director of Software Engineering will be responsible for managing applications within our Customer Relationship Management CRM platform, housing property and transaction-related data, and offering a comprehensive suite of leasing tools. This leadership position demands technical expertise, managerial skills, and an understanding of CRE technology and leasing processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of software engineers, architects, and other technical professionals to ensure successful delivery of software projects within budget and timeline constraints.
  • Collaborate with the security team to ensure the application's robustness and integrity, identifying vulnerabilities, and implementing appropriate security measures to enhance data protection and application outlook.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the team, setting coding standards, best practices, and ensuring adherence to quality assurance processes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including regional leasing teams, operations teams, and product managers, to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of the CRM application, ensuring scalability, security, and usability.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement of the CRM application by staying up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
  • Manage cross-functional relationships with other technology teams, such as data engineering, infrastructure, and DevOps, to ensure seamless integration and operation of the CRM application.
  • Monitor system performance and address any issues related to application availability, reliability, and performance.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role managing software development teams, preferably in the CRE or property management industry.
  • Strong technical skills with expertise in programming languages such as Java, C, NodeJs, or Python.
  • Experience with database design and management, preferably with knowledge of property data and lease sales transaction data.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing and SaaS platforms, particularly AWS or Azure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to drive projects from conception to completion, managing resources, budgets, and timelines.
