About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Analytics Senior Associate to join our team at Athenahealth. As a key member of our product team, you will be responsible for driving improvement and value in our product by providing relevant and timely data, analytics, and insights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Product Management to determine measures of success and guide good usage of outcome-driven metrics.
  • Pull user, transaction, and other data from complex systems to format into reports and analyses for Product Managers.
  • Synthesize results to determine success or failure of experiments and make recommendations on go-forward plans.
  • Create and maintain easy-to-use visuals (e.g., dashboards, report cards) to keep Product teams informed of product/feature performance.
  • Reinforce the use of standardized data assets and metrics, and help surface and fill gaps as discovered.
  • Develop and manage strong, collaborative relationships with associated product teams.

Requirements:

  • Ability to synthesize complex, high-quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve business problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to use a variety of tools, techniques, and processes to gather and report data.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical ideas to various audiences.
  • Ability to collaborate across a range of audiences, both internal and external, and across a range of cohorts.
  • Ability to provide sound rationale for recommendations to gain others' support and commitment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree required; Degree (Bachelor's or Master's) in quantitative disciplines like Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, Analytics, or Information Systems preferred.
  • 5+ years overall professional experience, preferably including 3-4 years of data analytics or data science.
  • Strong understanding of database technologies and ability to write code to gather data. SQL experience mandatory.
  • Demonstrated experience with an array of analytical tools and methods, including data visualizations (Tableau, Power BI, etc.) and programming languages (Python, R, etc.).
