Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Automation Expert to join our Quality Assurance team in Bengaluru. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing methodologies, automation frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines, with expertise in scripting languages such as Perl and Python.

About the Role:

This role involves collaborating closely with development teams to ensure the quality, scalability, and accuracy of Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools and flows. The successful candidate will design, develop, and execute automated test cases for EDA software tools and flows, work with CI/CD pipelines to integrate automated testing into build processes, and apply deep knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and QA processes.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Design and develop automated test cases for EDA software tools and flows.
  2. Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
  3. Apply knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and QA processes.
  4. Write and maintain comprehensive test documentation, coverage reports, and quality metrics.
  5. Collaborate with developers to identify, reproduce, and resolve issues efficiently.
  6. Use Perl and Python scripting to build, execute, and enhance test automation frameworks.
  7. Validate outputs of EDA tools and IP automation flows for accuracy and consistency.
  8. Contribute to continuous improvement in QA practices and automation coverage.

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, QA tools, and processes.
  • Experience with test automation frameworks and integrating them into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience with Perl and Python scripting for automation and test execution.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities.

Preferred Skills:

  • Background in EDA/IP automation.
  • Experience in validating EDA tool outputs and semiconductor workflows.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git, SVN) and bug tracking tools (JIRA, Bugzilla).
  • Knowledge of Linux environments for EDA tool execution.
